A worldwide symbol of hope and of the holidays in New York City, the 2018 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree burst into light November 28 with 50,000 multicolored LED lights and a 900-pound Swarovski crystal star. Visited by an estimated 125 million people each year, the tree will remain on display until January 7, at which time it will be dismantled and its lumber donated to Habitat for Humanity.
