Interested organizations or associations are invited to schedule workshops with author Mary O’Connor. Program content and length can be custom-tailored to your organization.

Say Yes! to Your Creative SelfAn Invitation to tickle your creative bones. Designed for all who think they don’t have a creative bone in their body, or simply want to build them, this hands-on workshop includes tips, examples and practices designed to boost ways of creatively seeing and experiencing the world around us. Content includes:

Being open to creativity: Mindfulness, Being centered, Curiosity, Imagination, Connectedness (create a circle poem)

Prompts and practices: Stretching Exercises, Building on Our Senses, Unlocking blocked ideas, Playing the haiku mind game,

Programs can be tailored to the wishes of an organization, e.g., a shorter overview presentation on the ins and outs of creativity or a hands-on workshop with exploratory creativity exercises.


Speaking the Language of Water, an interactive Haiku Writing workshop. Explore the development and nuances of the classic Haiku form of Japanese poetry. Then, apply some of the basic concepts of this “plain language” form of poetic expression as you write and share your own haikus.
