One of over 2,000 works by Zimbabwean artists in the ZimSculpt exhibition at the Fort Lauderdale Bonnet House, this highly polished Angelfish sculpture is carved in Springstone, an exceptionally hard, semi-precious stone. Angelfish get their name from the shape of the elongated fins, giving them a silhouette resembling an angel’s head, wings and dress • Photo by Jan Logozzo • “Angels” haiku by Mary O’Connor

Just beautiful, Mary!! I didn’t realize why they got their name. And how hard to carve in that semi-precious stone! The zebra stripes caught my eye too!
