Every fall, millions of colorful monarch butterflies leave their summer breeding grounds in northeast America to fly some 3,000 miles to their overwintering grounds in southwestern Mexico, one of Earth’s greatest natural events.

This is really one AMAZING migration. We keep trying to give them some place to stop by.

They rested on a tree here a few years ago as they were heading south…quite a sight to see!
