Magic Cicadas ~ Known for her creative installations using large numbers of insects arranged in ornamental patterns, University of Wisconsin professor of design Jennifer Angus anthropomorphizes insects in the hope that she can create interest in the role that insects play in ecosystems. Her Silver Wings and Golden Scales exhibit may be seen at the Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme, Conn. through November 10.
