Kicked off with a fireworks display, the 30th annual Niantic Light Parade boasted dancers, marching bands, and floats, all decorated with thousands and thousands of tiny lights, including this one of Santa’s team of raindeer. Frosty the Snowman float, designed and produced by Sign Craft of Niantic, Conn., with the help of its many volunteers, wraps up the December 8 festivities. — Photos by Mary O’Connor © 2018
Great parade. Ours was cancelled this year because of thrunderstorms threatening.

It really is a pity, especially as there were no thunderstorms in the evening – only some thunder in the afternoon, and not too close at that. But because of all the logistics involved they decided not to just wait and see,
