Thanks, same to you! Hope your weather is also refreshing…it’s been a tough winter up north! Mary

The last two days have been cold, sometimes drizzling and overcast: not too nice. Just now we have the tops of the hills around here in fog. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be warmer, before the next cold front will arrive Wednesday.
Stay warm,

Mary, what a coincidence! Just yesterday I received a brochure about Morikami Gardens from friends who are wintering in Florida (smart people!). It looks stunning, and it really tempts me to consider a trip there, even though I doubt it’s realistic. When and under what circumstances did you take this stunning photo?
Our friends sent us the brochure because they knew the Japanese garden we had surrounding our house on Long Island lo! these 15 years ago. I don’t really miss the house — but I still do miss the garden. This was just the thing to see, as I look out on limitless expanses of snow fringed with icicles, and a forecast of more to come this afternoon!

If you have a chance, DO go! I have actually been several times while in Florida (avoiding the snow at home!), and can’t recommend it highly enough. I often bring guests there, and without fail, they all fall in love with it — men, women, young, old. Peaceful, charming and refreshing are three words that describe it well; always something different and educational to see and do. I especially love listening to the music of the bamboo grove, not to mention seeing the beauty of the resident birds and plants. And if you go, don’t miss lunch in the teahouse!
